    Paola Cassotti

    General Manager - Macdonald Bear Hotel

    Paola started with the company in December 1999 as Room Attendant at Macdonald Bear Hotel. Her current position in 2013 is General Manager at Macdonald Bear Hotel.

    "I am proud to work for Macdonald Hotels because giving Excellent Service is at the top of what we do every day. The highlight of my experience with the Company is the people  I work with. Many colleagues supported me throughout the years and continue to do so. I would not be a General Manager today without the input of some great professionals with a real passion for hospitality. I hope I can reciprocate and support new team members to achieve their professional goals."

    Sean Denny

    Operations Manager - Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa

    Sean started at Macdonald Randolph Hotel in  2007 as Conference and Banqueting Manager then moved to Macdonald Bear Hotel, November 2010 as Operations Manager. Currently Sean has been at Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa September 2012 as Operations  Manager.

    'I have always believed that to make a successful business you need a good team behind you, looking after your team has always been important to me as they will look after you, when I went for the interview with the HR Manager at the Randolph, she explained that Macdonald hotels values were, People, Service and Results, I knew then that I wanted to work for them and still believe to this day that we make good business by looking after our team'.

    Rohan Nevens

    Head Chef - Macdonald Old England Hotel & Spa

    'I joined Macdonald Hotels in 2002 as Demi Chef de Partie at Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel. I then progressed over the next 10 years to Sous Chef.  I am now Head Chef at Macdonald Old England Hotel & Spa in Windermere.

    Since I came to the UK,  MDH has been my home. In the last 10 years I have had the opportunity to progress within 2 of the groups finest hotels and have worked with some exceptional teams.  I am now privileged enough to lead and develop my own team of fantastic chefs. 

     Whilst working in Bath I had the opportunity to represent MDH in the Visionary Dining Award 2011 which I went on to win chef of the year under the mentorship of Aiden Byrne.  This was an amazing experience competing against 15 of best up and coming chefs in the UK.'

    Grace Reilly

    Restaurant Manager - Macdonald Houstoun house

    Grace started in August 2010 as Restaurant Manager at Macdonald Crutherland House. She was then promoted in July 2012 to Macdonald Houstoun House as Restaurant & bar Manager.

    'I have always worked in quality establishments and it was a great opportunity to join Macdonald hotels as Restaurant manager. I was given the opportunity to develop and grow by completing a SVQ level 3 and became an assessor for the hotel. I have since followed 4 successful NVQ candidates. I then joined Houstoun House to be part of the launch of Jeremy Wares at Houstoun House and this has been a fantastic project to be involved in.'

    Rebecca Brown

    Receptionist - Macdonald Windsor Hotel

    Becky started with us as a Receptionist in August 2010 at the Macdonald Windsor Hotel which was a new opening for the company.

    "I really enjoy my role here at the Macdonald Windsor Hotel. I love meeting new people everyday and building relationships with our regular guests. Being given the opportunity to become head of our Staff Consultative Committee and to be involved in the High Achievers competition over the past two years has been a great experience. I feel that Macdonald Hotels genuinely values its staff compared to other companies that I've worked for."

    Richard Deak

    Chef de Rang - Macdonald Aviemore Resort

    Recruited from Hungary and commenced in May 2011 as a Restaurant team Member in Aspects Restaurant at the Aviemore Highland resort, Richard was promoted to Chef de Rang in July 2012.  He has now commenced Modern Apprenticeship SVQ in October 2012.

     "This is my first job in the UK.  I am delighted to be given the opportunity to complete the SVQ and develop new skills.  I can learn from my experiences at Aviemore and move forward within this Company"
