What is a Centre of Excellence?
Centres of Excellence were established in Macdonald Hotels to
assist the hotels in the induction process of new staff and
managers. They provide an opportunity for new staff members
to visit the centre of excellence to see all of the company
procedures and standards in place. It is also a way of
measuring and recognising successful departments who deliver in
terms of training and development, deliver excellent customer
service and follow company procedures. Through Centre's of
Excellence we hope to retain good people and reward success at
every level.
Moving forward, we hope to have a Centre of Excellence for each
department in each region. Centres of Excellence are awarded to
those hotels that deliver the company procedures and standards
consistently, who deliver excellent training and support, and
exceed in delivering excellent customer service. As part of an
employee induction programme they will visit a Centre of
Excellence.
