Useful Information About Our Hotel
Check-in time at The Bear Hotel is from 2.30pm and we ask that you check out of your rooms by 11am on the day of departure. We can offer late check-out on request, subject to availability (fees may apply).
Kids will love receiving their own check-in card, activity pack and bubble bath as part of our It's Kids promotion. Children aged 0 to 4yrs stay and eat a delicious breakfast for free on promotional family breaks at all Macdonald Hotels when sharing a room with a parent or guardian, and those aged 5 to 12 yrs are charged £15.00 per child for bed and breakfast.
Children are welcome throughout the Macdonald Bear Hotel when accompanied by an adult. Baby cots and essential supplies are available from housekeeping, children's menus and highchairs are supplied in our restaurants, and family rooms are available.

Dogs are welcome at the Macdonald Bear Hotel. Guide dogs stay for free and pets stay for £10 per night.
Your safety, security and comfort are our priority at the Macdonald Bear Hotel. Security cameras operate throughout the hotel and Reception is manned 24 hours a day. Each bedroom door is fitted with a deadlock and the main gates close at midnight.
There are 40 free parking spaces available at the Macdonald Bear Hotel, 3 of which are fully accessible for disabled guests and visitors.

We actively minimise waste through the recovery and recycling of materials, effective energy efficiency measures, a comprehensive pollution prevention policy and responsible use of transport; and we consistently review our standards in alignment with environmental guidelines.
The Bear Hotel offers accessible bedrooms and 3 accessible parking spaces. Our bar and restaurant are located on the ground floor and visual and audible alarms operate throughout the hotel. Guide dogs are welcome to stay free of charge.
