The Restaurant
Split into three separate rooms, with exposed floorboards, bow windows and an open fire, the Macdonald Bear Hotel's Restaurant exudes traditional charm. Reminiscent of a country inn, our hotel restaurant offers fine dining in a welcoming atmosphere. Reserve a table by the large bay window and sample innovative British cuisine from the seasonal menu.
The Restaurant
Start your day well with a satisfying breakfast of fresh fruit, freshly baked bread and pastries, sweet comb honey, or a full English breakfast made from the finest organic produce and free range eggs. Return later for a convivial break with friends on the sunny courtyard or spend a relaxed afternoon over a delicious Sunday lunch.
Choose from the creative à la carte menu and dine on specialities such as carpaccio of yellow fin tuna with white radish remoulard, followed by a cassoulet of pulses with roasted girolles and thyme dumplings. Finish off the perfect meal with homemade bakewell tart with seville orange marmalade and clotted cream. Ask your waiter to recommend one of our many fine wines to complement your meal.Opening Hours
