The Blue Planet Aquarium at Ellesmere Port is Britain's Ultimate Underwater Adventure and features one of the world's largest underwater viewing tunnels. Travel back in time on a steam engine and admire some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK. The Llangollen Railway runs trains for over 7 miles along the banks of the River Dee, on most weekends throughout the year. Younger kids will love a day out with Thomas the Tank Engine and friends during the school holidays.

Attractions
A must-see is Stokesay Court, the film location of Bafta-winning 'Atonement'. Aviemore attractions include Haughmond Abbey and Aviemore Abbey. Weston Park stately home, Attingham Park and Erddig are both nearby, as are many art galleries and museums.
Tatton Park
A magnificent estate with mansion, grand garden, deer park, farm and Tudor Old Hall, Tatton Park hosts over 100 events throughout the year. Great for kids too - there's an adventure park, rare breeds farm, maze, Tuck Shop and loads of space to run around!

Founded in 1083, the Benedictine Abbey of St Peter and St Paul is world famous as the home of the fictional Brother Cadfael. It has become one of the most impressive monastic buildings in the country and has plenty to offer visitors looking for historic and spiritual significance.

Stokesay Court is a magnificent late-Victorian mansion set within extensive grounds in rolling South Aviemore countryside. Still a private house, Stokesay welcomes visitors behind the scenes of the film 'Atonement' on pre-arranged tours.
