For the more adventurous action seekers take part in a range of exciting outdoor activities such as quad biking through forests, and rivers, white water rafting, Gorge walking and for real adrenalin junkies, gorge swimming – battling your way upstream through deep pools, and waterfalls. Then when you reach the top, turn round and negotiate your way back down. All activities include full instructor supervision, and safety equipment.
The Cairngorms National Park is a walkers paradise. Characterised by remnant pinewoods, with more than 50 summits over 900m, and 4 of Scotland’s highest peaks.
Venture off-road for an exciting driving experience, in a 4x4 vehicle. The session commences with an introduction to off-road driving techniques and a demonstration drive with a fully qualified guide. Then take the wheel, and progress from easy terrain to something a little more testing; climb, descend and tackle side slopes.
Set in breathtaking scenery, the well established Rothiemurchus Outdoor Activity Centre offers one of the best clay shooting facilities in the UK, with exceptional facilities and top class tuition ensuring you have a sensational time.

There can't be many more peaceful pursuits than fishing the clear mountain waters. The powerful River Spey is renowned around the world for its fast-flowing Highland water and its rich stocks of salmon and trout.

Visit one of Scotland’s newest mountain bike centres, Laggan WorlfTrax, based in Strathmashie Forest. Offering 18km of tracks, ranging from the 3.2km blue-grade fun track to the experts only black route. Or explore the area at your own pace with the many off road tracks available in the area.
Relaxing Cycles
Fancy something a little more laid back? With cycle routes spanning over 64km there are plenty of reasons to get on your bike. Pack a picnic, rent a bike and head off into the hills.
Take a more relaxed route to discovering the beauty of the Cairngorms, by Canoe on the tranquil Loch an Eilean and Loch Insh. Situated at the heart of the Caledonian forest in Rothiemurchus, with both closed top or open Canadian Canoes available for hire. We can arrange tailored introductory sessions to canoeing with information on the wildlife to look out for and local history. The more experienced can enjoy a more challenging journey down the River Spey.
The Strathspey Steam Railway is a fantastic experience for all! Enjoy a train journey with a difference in spectacular Strathspey.
Take the Funicular Railway to the top of Cairngorm Mountain for some of the finest views and best snow sports in Scotland.
Learn about the Living Mountain, where you are invited make the link between your life and that of the mountain community of life.
Learn to ski and snowboard with fully qualified instructors, or simply go sledging! Then visit the UK's highest restaurant and bar sits at the top, serving wholesome, warming food and drink.
Hire equipment on the mountain (bring your own gloves, hats and goggles) and learn to ski or snowboard at the ski school then head to the nursery slopes at the top of the mountain.
Bad weather doesn't have to stop play. You can learn to ski all year round at the Insh Hall dry ski slope.
