Fishing for Salmon & Sea Trout on the famous River Spey

Macdonald Hotels & Resorts provides an excellent choice of fishing programmes to suit all – from the eager beginner to the experienced. Choose from a small loch for beginners and children to organised fishing excursions for Brown Trout or Pike from a boat on a wild, deep loch.
Fish for rainbow trout all year round or from mid -February to the end of September an hour’s casting lesson followed by a day on the River Spey (Salmon and Sea Trout).

River Spey
Our private beat on the magnificent River Spey is available for Salmon and Sea Trout fishing, from mid-February to end of September each year. Advanced booking is advised. For Fly only and any legal method there is a charge of £20 per day up to 6 rods.
Group Rates
Where booking is made in advance, parties of 10 or more anglers can take advantage of our special group rate. Please call 01479 812345 for further information or to make a booking.
Instruction
We can arrange private lessons and the hire of equipment. Our Ghillie service can provide stocked private Lochans and a private river beat, advance booking for this service is essential. Transportation can be arranged and this should be discussed at the time of booking. The tuition charges are as follows:
